When I found out that it was Boo Radley who put the blanket on me outside of his house I was kind of frightened, happy and mad at the same time. I was frightened because at first i didn't know how it got there and now I'm mad because I didn't see what he looked like and Jem, Dill and I have been trying for as long as I can remember. I was happy because he gave me a blanket to keep me warm when I was really cold. I think Boo seems like a nice guy, and I also think that it was him who fixed Jem's pants that night when they got stuck on the fence. In my opinion, I think that Boo secretly comes out of his house every night or is just very sneaky so that no one sees him. He seems like a sort of shady guy but he really just means well.
One day we were walking past the tree with the knot hole in it and there were two carvings out of soap, one of a boy and one of a girl. They look like me and Jem, but we were curious who carved them. We tried to think of people who whittle around the area and we thought that it could be Mr. Avery, but I don't think that it's him. Jem and I wrote a letter to whoever was leaving things in the tree for us and we were going to put it in the hole, but it was covered with cement. We found out that Mr. Radley plugged the hole with cement, he said that the tree was dying, but Atticus said that it wasn't. I think that Mr. Radley didn't want us to get the little presents that were being left for us anymore.

Scout you oughta be grateful that Mr. Arthur had come outta his house just to do you a favor, instead of buggin' him to come out of his house you should knock on his door and thank him. Now, tell me how in this world Jem, and his pants, ended up 'nywhere near the Radley house!? I'm positive your father would like to know what kinds of mischief you two have been gettin' yourselves into. Its a real shame that Mr. Nathan Radley filled up the hole in the tree, but if them toys were meant for you and your brother the deliverer of them will just have to find some other way of gettin'em to you. But, I'm sure Mr. Nathan wouldn'ta filled up the hole with cement just so you two would stop receivin' gifts from it. Scout, the health of another mans tree ain't none of your concern anyway.

Yeah Scout that was kinda frightenen how Boo put the blanket it on you. He seems to like to sneak up on people alot or do stuff for them secretly. First he stitches my pants up and folds them ov'r the fence and than he goes and puts the blanket over you. I wonder if the gifts were from him cause I dont think Mr. Radley would have filled the hole in the tree up if it wasnt Boo. And him sayin the tree was dying I think was just an excuse. Im a hopin that we keep on receiving the gifts somehow. If it was Boo he must have another plan to get 'em to us. I guess we'll just have to wait n see...
ReplyDeleteScout i was kinda creeped when i found my pants like that but i tihink your right. Im pretty sure that Boo Radley folded them like that. Its good he gave you the blanket and all but why would he do it? No one just comes out at night and puts a blanket on a girl like you. I agree Boo Radley does mean well in some ways. I was so upset when we found that our whole was filled up with cement. I liked getting all that stuff. That was not cool when Mr. Radley told us the tree was dyin'. He just doesnt like to have any fun but that doesnt mean that he has to ruin ours.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you and Jem were so stupid yous didn't even turn 'round. I know for sure I would. After all the times we tried yous actually had a chance and you didnt see him. Boy do I wish I could of been there. I have an idea, it's for the summer though. If we can lets try to stay up all through night and catch Boo in the act of something crazy. I cant wait!
